For two years, I have been going about my business all wrong. I have been attempting to herd two babies, all day long, while running my freelance business from a desktop in the back bedroom.
If I had known what a difference a laptop was going to make, I'd have fought harder to get one sooner. I have only been wireless and able to wander the house, chasing the kids and working at the same time for three days, and already my productivity has about doubled. How's that for an awesome investment!
To some, this may sound silly, but to any mom who has tried to get things done around toddlers, I'm sure this mini post makes perfect sense. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy, I'm a very low-maintenance kind of girl. But now I'm a low-maintenance girl who can get things DONE!
Yes, its all about a laptop! I have two of them in case one of them goes out.
I technorati'd you. Nice site,I'm looking forward to reading your other posts and checking out your other sites.

I love this blog and so relate! I just bought my laptop too this last week and realized how much easier my life is.
For me, it's about herding a three-year-old around and taxi driving teenagers. Now I can take my laptop everywhere and maybe actually meet my deadlines. I might even make more money and my life will be more organized. To boot, I might even get dinner on the table on time. At least these were the reasons I gave my husband to justify the expense. He bought it with a smile on his face so that's all that matters. ;-)
